Hello Everyone!
Today in class we started a new unit on addition and subtraction. We engaged in many fun activities and looked at different strategies to help us add and subtract! We played Math Bingo, an awesome idea for teaching math. Students roll the dice and either add and subtract the numbers they rolled and mark their answer on their bingo sheet.

Check out this cool adding machine we added to our math center to help us strengthen our addition skills!

Grade 1's, here is a fun addition and subtraction game to put your math skills to the test! Click Here for some Fun Fruit Splat and see if you can beat your score!

Hello everyone and welcome to Ms. Marinelli’s classroom blog! I am very excited to meet you all, and look forward to a fantastic school year. Let me start off by telling you a bit about myself. I graduated from Seneca King where I received my diploma in Early Childhood education. I also graduated from York University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography. I am currently enrolled in the primary/junior education program at Niagara University where I am working towards completing my Bachelors of Education. My passion for teaching has grown very much ever since I was a child where my most desirable wish was and still is to be a teacher. I come from a family of five which includes my parents, two brothers, and me of course. Anthony is 13 months older than me and Joshua is 4 years younger than me. As far as pets, I have a dog named Stella who is 6 years old. She is our pride and joy. I was born and raised in Canada (which is a great place to grow up if you don’t mind long and cold winters). I love spending time at the cottage as it has always been a place that I cherished while growing up. Traveling and site seeing has always sparked an interest. Italy and Greece are my two favorite places. I hope to provide each of you with unforgettable learning experiences that will benefit you in the years to come. Let’s make this a year a GREAT one!
