I know Earth Day has come and gone but in our classroom we think everyday is Earth Day! Earth Day is not integrated into the curriculum, however it is very important to help keep our Earth clean and healthy, as it is a home for everyone, including plants and animals. A healthy environment is important for all living things and showing respect and care helps keep a healthy environment as well. Earth gives us things we need to survive such as water, air, and sunlight so we want to try our best to take care of our Earth! We decided to make a giant earth made from old magazines that would have gone in the garbage. We drew a big circle, made some continents and started cutting and gluing different shades of blue and green from the magazines. We all worked together on this project, just like we should work together to help the Earth stay healthy!
